3-D CFD of a small solid rocket motor, N-slot grain, streamed frame by frame
A three-dimensional, compressible-flow simulation of a small solid rocket motor, from ignition to 2.6 s. The grain is the AAE 43900 Group 16 "N"-slot grain: a straight N-shaped port, 30.785 mm outer diameter (the casting tube), 116.84 mm long. The port surfaces and both end faces burn; the outer surface is inhibited.
